The Student Recreational Sports Center, Bill Garrett Fieldhouse, Woodlawn Fields, Recreational Sports Field Complex, IU Tennis Center, and IU Outdoor Pool are available for rentals. Please submit your request at least four weeks in advance. Rental requests are reviewed by the Facility Reservation Committee and you will receive an official notification via email whether your request has been approved or denied. Please note that submitting a rental request does not constitute an approved rental.
Facility Rental Process
Step by step
1. Complete the online Facility Rental Request.
- Large Events (more than 300 participants) - 4 months in advance
- Medium Events (100 - 300 participants) - 2 months in advance
- Small Events (less han 100 participants) - 1 month in advance
2. Your facility reservation application will be reviewed by the Facility Reservation Committee and approved or denied, and you will receive an official notification of the committee's decision through email. Please note that submitting an application to Recreational Sports does not constitute a permit.
3. If your event is approved, you will be conttacted by a Recreational Sports Counselor to set up a time to meet to discuss the details of your event and to review any associated fees.
4. Payment is required in full within 30 days of the receipt of the invoice.
Additional Notes
- Bill Garrett Fieldhouse/SRSC cannot be reserved as backup locations.
- The Recreational Sports Field Complex fields are NOT available for rental groups.
- For outdoor events, we recommend submitting a request to use Dunn Meadow, the tailgating fields or the grass field on the corner of 17th & Fee Lane through the Student Involvement and Leadership Center. In the event of inclement weather, Woodlawn could be closed to all users, causing your event to be canceled with minimal notice.
