William H. Lindley, Jr. Award

All-Campus Participant of the Year - $500

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled as a full-time student on the Bloomington campus
  • Individual must have at least a junior standing or one year of academics remaining to complete
  • Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Must be a regular participant in more than one programs/activities of Campus Recreational Sports
  • Participant in fitness wellness at least once per semester
  • Participant in informal sports on a regular basis
  • Member of a club sport
  • Participant in intramural sports at least once per semester
  • Individual may have served in a leadership role on at least one Campus Recreational Sports Councils
  • Must be recognized by their peers as an individual who displays an attitude of good sportsmanship within their program area
  • May have also made contributions within a respective program area

Terry Clapacs All Campus Manager Award - $500

 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Assisted with Intramural team, dual/individual, and special events
  • Assisted with the development of special project, proposal, or program event
  • Has participated and/or volunteered with other program areas
  • Makes significant tangible contributions beyond the scope of his/her responsibilities
  • The group with which this individual is affiliated exhibited a high level of organization, operation, and programming
  • Represented their respective groups with dedication, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, reliability, and dependability in fulfilling his/her responsibilities
  • Articulate the needs and concerns of his/her constituency
  • Has no more than one (1) unexcused absence from previous announced meetings
  • Is enrolled as a full-time student on the Bloomington campus

  • Must be a member of the SRSA
  • Must be of junior class standing
  • Exhibits outstanding leadership abilities in dealing with peers and supervisors
  • Has made outstanding contributions to Campus Recreational Sports, SRSA and individual program areas
  • Has an outstanding attendance record and makes contributions at SRSA meetings

Robert Stumpner SRSA Outstanding Senior Award - $100

  • Must be a member of the SRSA
  • Must be of senior class standing
  • Exhibits outstanding leadership abilities
  • Has made outstanding contributions to Campus Recreational Sports, SRSA/Councils/Committees and individual program areas through years of service
  • Has an outstanding attendance record and makes contributions at SRSA/Councils/Committee meetings

Jamison, Hillary and Hannah Schell Fitness Inspiration Award - $500

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum of one (1) year involvement in the Fitness/Wellness program. This can include anyone who has made a significant contribution through group exercise leadership, personal training, participating in programs or special events, or those who aid in the development of fitness/wellness
  • Has used fitness to overcome adversity in their life
  • Faculty, Staff and current students are eligible for Award

Richard F. Mull Recreational Sports Leadership Award - (5) $1000 Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Most outstanding student volunteer from each of following program areas: Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness/Wellness, Informal Sports, and Intramural Sports
  • Full-time undergraduate status on IUB Campus
  • Served a minimum of one (1) year in volunteer leadership roles within Campus Recreational Sports
  • Has missed no more than two (2) previously announced meetings for role in which they serve
  • Articulated the needs and concerns of his/her constituency
  • Makes tangible contributions beyond the scope of his/her responsibilities
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, reliability and dependability in fulfilling his/her responsibilities

Jill Behrman Emerging Leader Scholarship - (2) $1000 Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Enrolled in any baccalaureate program at Indiana University as a full time student
  • Minimum GPA 2.5
  • Minimum of one year involvement within Campus Recreational Sports
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, responsibilities and potential in any area of campus life and civic responsibility through involvement in Campus Recreational Sports, Indiana University and community organizations

Allmayer Yoga Leader of the Year - $100

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Preference will be given to Recreational Sports yoga leaders who are IU students
  • The yoga leader must have worked for Recreational Sports for at least 1 year (2 complete semesters)
  • To be considered, the yoga leader must have a 200-hour RYT certification
  • The leader who is selected will be someone who has demonstrated the ability to (1) design yoga sessions through the participant’s lens and (2) someone who has demonstrated ability to create an outstanding yoga experience for participants of all experience/ability levels

What is the SRSA Awards Banquet?

The Student Recreational Sports Association (SRSA) Banquet is a celebration of the year in Campus Recreational Sports. Campus Recreational Sports staff present excellence awards and scholarships to SRSA members, hourly staff members and participants.

This year's banquet will be April 18th, 2019 at the Indiana Memorial Union
